01 · Overview

Care that changes as you do.

Pregnancy and recovery ask a great deal of the body in a short period of time. Load shifts, joints change, and the core and pelvic floor have to coordinate differently. Care through this period should adapt just as quickly, which is why every visit is built around the stage you are actually in.

Dr. Schaffer is certified in the Webster technique, a specific chiropractic approach for pregnancy focused on reducing tension and restriction through the pelvis and supporting balanced pelvic function. Treatment is gentle, positioned for comfort, and adjusted as pregnancy progresses.

Alongside chiropractic, prenatal and postpartum Pilates sessions emphasize safe core and pelvic floor coordination. The goal is to build strength and body awareness through pregnancy, then restore function after childbirth, with support at every step.

Specialized sessions using empowering movement strategies to build strength and body awareness through pregnancy and restore function after childbirth.

07 · Questions

Frequently asked.

What is the Webster technique?

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment used during pregnancy. It focuses on reducing restriction and tension through the pelvis and supporting balanced pelvic function. Dr. Schaffer is certified in the technique.

When in pregnancy can I start care?

Care can begin at any stage. Some clients start in the first trimester, others come later as discomfort develops. Treatment is adapted to your stage throughout.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is widely used and treatment here is gentle and positioned for comfort. Every plan is based on an individual assessment, and Dr. Schaffer will discuss your health history with you. If anything falls outside chiropractic scope, she will refer you appropriately. Always keep your obstetric provider informed about the care you are receiving.

How soon after birth can I come in?

This varies with your delivery and recovery, and should be coordinated with your medical provider's clearance. When you are ready, postpartum care starts gently and progresses at the pace your body sets.

Can I do Pilates while pregnant?

Yes. Prenatal Pilates sessions here emphasize safe core and pelvic floor coordination and are adapted to your trimester and symptoms, rather than following a standard class.
